Apple iPhone Guided Tour

Apple iPhone Guided Tour

Chances are you’ve heard something about this “iPhone”. If you have not, you are either deaf, blind or so in love with Microsoft you have enabled your sensory filters to block out anything Apple related. All the hype aside this is really going to be an amazing gadget. It’s certainly more than “just a phone”, and it will really raise the bar for the portable market. It runs a slimmed down version of Apple’s operating system, which makes it quite a powerful little device capable of running your itunes, playing video, surfing the web, etc etc. What we are all really excited about of course is the touch screen, and it remains to be seen how easy it is to use, initial reports have been very positive. Apple has just released this informative..rather lengthy 20 minute video that goes through all the features and apps included with the phone. It’s a good place to start if you want to familiarize yourself with just what all the hype is about. A “revolution” maybe not, but an evolution for mobile phones, and devices it certainly is.

Tucson Roller Girls: Season 4 Bout Two

Watch as the Copper Queens are brutally devirginized by the ruthless posse of Tucson police known as the Vice Squad! Welcome to the league. They do look awful charming in those copper shorts, and this was a damn good first showing for the newest team in the league. Good job gals.

HTML Playground

Here is a great reference for when your head is like a bowl of soup overflowing with all sorts of HTML and CSS tags, and you just draw a blank…it happens to me anyway, all the time. Here you can select a tag and it instantly displays the definition, and provides a nice visual example of the usage (complete with a panel on how it looks when displayed).

PCNames: Awesome

How is this for an excellent and appropriate use of Ajax? PCNames let’s you start typing in a name and then finds out (as you are typing) possible domain matches, and display’s their status. This really cuts out quite a few steps in the old method of domain name searching. I’m going to cut this review short, and simply let you try it out for yourselves…too cool, our only question might be what’s up with the lame name?

Green Dimes: About time!

It’s about time someone addressed the issue of junk mail, and from a business model standpoint how can these folks lose? For $36 a year they will cut your junk mail down 90% or so they claim. I’m sold, both from an ecological and annoyance standpoint. They contact bulk mailers on your behalf, and if a signature is required they will send you a postcard (recycled paper of course) with postage paid so all you need do is sign and drop in the mail. AWESOME, thanks and best of luck to these people and their company I will do my best to inform as many people as i can…starting here.
